…as in novels.

Don’t worry, MizB as per your rules, I’m going to be keeping the posts clean.

My finds this week were in the young adult graphic novel section of our library, prompted somewhat after seeing The Dark Knight earlier in the week, and are as follows (beginning with the Batman graphic novels:

  • Batman: The Greatest Stories Ever Told: a collection of Batman comics
  • Batman: Year One by Frank Miller and Daviz Mazzucchelli with Richmond Lewis
  • The Dark Knight Strikes Again by Frank Miller and Lynn Varley
  • Astonishing X-Men by Joss Whedon and John Casaday
  • The Ultimate Iron Man by Orson Scott Card
  • and in a different vein altogether, Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood by Marjane Satrapi.

  • I just finished Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood, and I enjoyed it very much. I started the sequel right away.

Maus I and II were my first forays into the graphic novel genre, and they are both excellent.

  • hee hee… well, thank you for complying. :P

And, thanks for playing along this week! :)
