For this week’s Weekly Geeks, we were to take photos and also link to others who participated in this week’s assignment.
At left is a photo of our main bookcase, with mainly books I have read on the left and books to be read on the right. Top shelves are mostly hardcovers with a few exceptions; second shelves, American authors; third shelves, poetry; fourth shelves, international authors (primarily though British) and bottom left shelf where cat (who looks sort of demonic with the flash in his eyes, doesn’t he?) is is nonfiction of various kinds.
At right is another bookshelf of books to be read in our bedroom, with a combination of French and Russian literature at left and various nonfiction at right.
Below is yet another pile of books to be read that is in my office, which consists mostly of books for challenges in which I’m involved.
Now as for those links to others, Bybee at Naked Without Books! mourns the loss of being close to her favorite libraries, one of which used to be a car dealership. I kid you not. Alos Terri at Reading, Writing and Retirement shows us how she blindly chooses the next book she is going to read.
Not that others didn’t stand out, but it’s late, just past midnight here where I am, and I’m tired, so that’s all for now. Tomorrow (or should I say later today?) or later in the week, I’d like to post more photos, perhaps of our town library and the book sale it’s holding this week, but we’ll see.

Thanks for the link! Actually, it’s not set up to choose a book but to keep me from being seduced by the titles so I can finish my “have to read” pile.
You are so organized! All your piles separated into categories. I’m lucky if I get the TBRs separated from the ARs (already reads).

I love that double bookshelf! I posted mine a few weeks ago, so I don’t know that I’ll participate in WG this week, but I love looking at other people’s books. I think that is the first thing I look for when at a new person’s home–their books. :)
I’d love to steal your copy of American Gods–I’ve been wanting to read that one.
